Repair the chip before it becomes a crack
A fresh chip is the best time to act. Portland's temperature swings, rough roads, and a blast of the defroster can all turn a coin-sized chip into a crack that runs across the glass. What rock chip repair involves
We clean the damaged area and inject a clear resin into the chip or crack, then cure and polish it. The resin bonds the glass back together, stops the damage from spreading, and restores much of the clarity and strength of the original glass. Can your damage be repaired?
Repair is often possible when:
- The chip is roughly the size of a quarter or smaller
- Cracks are short and not spreading
